17" skinny's? dose anybody make a skinny in a 17" that fits our cars? |
anybody? |
are you looking for skinnies for you stock wheels??? |
Looking for a set of skinnie's Rim's and tires, I cant stand the way the 15" skinnies look on f-bodys... all the 17" wheels I found have either a angela or strange axle wich I beleave are just for Rails and dragsters, would be nice if someone could make a decent looking skinnie |
Weld is supposed to be coming with some soon. I saw the Ford applications in a 17" Magnum at SEMA last year. It shouldn't be long. I think the main drawback right now is tires to match. |
what a godsend that would be :) these in 17's would be the shiznick, And why in the hell are they under imports! :bang: So they can drag them on the rear's :eyes: http://www.weldracing.com/Weld_Motor...pc_g_large.jpg http://www.weldracing.com/Weld_Motor...pc_p_large.jpg http://www.weldracing.com/Weld_Motor...c_cs_large.jpg |

That would look pretty sweet. Pricey, though. I could see tires being a problem. there will be very little rubber between the wheel and the road. |
I know Bogart make a 17X4-6....... There spendy though and they are there RR series wheels..... |
just got a e-mail from weld and below is the 17" skinnie there working on :) http://www.weldracing.com/Weld_Motor...spin_large.jpg Hi Scott, It is true that we are developing a 17x4.5 wheel. It will be a 17” version of the Aluma Star 1-pc forged 15x3.5. The primary application will be for the Ford Cobra. If the wheel shows a strong demand, an application for the F-body will follow quickly. We are currently in the tire/wheel testing stage and expect this wheel to be available to the public in July. I'd say at least $369 each, that's what I paid for the magnum 2.0 front runners on my other car. Worth it though, they are light as air !! |
Not sure if I'd like the spindle mount wheels for a daily driver.. |
Yeah I would say $350-400, I would pay it too ;) Oh its not going to be a spindle mount here is the Rim http://www.weldracing.com/Weld_Motor...bolt_large.jpg |
Hell, for that price it would be better to have a set of stock 17" wheels narrowed and run a bias motorcycle tire. That is what I did. No spacers or grinding needed. Each wheel was about $250 to be done. Keith |

Brain at RPM Motorsports in Texas ( 972-434-2151 ). He had a set of 16x8 wheels narrowed to 16x3.5 for me. Also said that 17" could work, but 16" would have greater strength. I am running a set of 150/80/16 motorcycle up front. Keith |
cool you have any pic's? |
I can take some this weekend :) Keith |
Cool id like to see them also.... how long did it take for them to make them?? Kyle |
