Default Another 15x3.5 question

Instead of using the 5/16 spacers and doing no grinding, would it be easier to use 7/32 spacers and do a little grinding instead of alot of grinding and no spacers? Mainly so the wheels wouldn't stick out so far and possibly not have to change studs. Haven't seen anybody using the smaller spacers.

I can't answer your question about spacers because I do not like them and have never used them in any application. But I have 15x3.5 Weld Prostars on my 98' Trans Am and don't use any spacers. I just did alot of grinding and everything is still ok after thousands of miles later. And still using the stock studs with no issues there either.

yea i got a buddy running the 7/32nds.. lots better then the 5/16's.. but still to scary for me... lets put it like this..

with the grinding, worst case, u lose some or all of ur front braking power.. okay.. i can eventually stop the car...

with spacers and no studs, u can flat out lose a wheel im guessing.. cornering is already going to be a bitch, but i imagine if u put enuff wieght even at a low speed, it may be ur unlucky day..

both are risky, i choose the one that doesn't ensure my car is totaled.

I guess I may end up grinding the fronts. I'm easy on the brakes anyway so they won't be under alot of heat and stress all the time. I'll just have to go easier on the curves with the 3.5's when I get them regardless if I use spacers or not.
