Default Ruined Chrome

I have never had a car that had chrome rims, so I dont have any experience with them. I want to get a set of chrome HP Evo 18" rims but I have read a thread that mentioned that salt on roads will ruin chrome finishes. My question is this will road salt corrode the chrome off of all rims or does only happen to certain rims? Thanks for your input!

The stupid city and there massive use of salt. If you leave the salt build up it can ruin any chrome. Best bet is to just keep them clean and you'll be fine.
