A Few quick questions
A Few quick questions I've got a 2000 z-28 with 17 x 9 zr1 styled wheels. I have bfg comp ta's 275 x 40 x 17. These tires feel real heavy. Do you guys have any recommendations for a lighter tire?
I also want to put the 17 x 11 zr1 wheels 50 mm offset on the back with 315 x 35 x 17's. I don't mind hammering the inside of the wheel wells but I really dont want to roll the fenders. My car is stock ride height and I have an adjustable panhard rod. If the rear is perfectly centered do you guys think these will fit without any mods? I also have rod ended control arms. I read in another post that when the rear axle was at a slight angle from flat the tires might rub. These rims had 305 nitto 555r drag radials on the rears when I bought them They didn't rub at all, but I heard the nitto's run on the small side, and these were bald. They did stick well, and they were a lot lighter than the comp ta's.
Last question. If I go with the 315's what is a light good performance tire?

Forgot one One more question. These wheels are cast aluminum right? Is there a top speed limit for these? Would something forged or spun or something be safer at speeds 150-200?
