Default Need help with sanding....

I had new tires put on my ride and the dumbass that changed the tires put a big gash in my rim...I used a dremel to get most of the gash out but you can tell after I finished polishing that the dremel was used. Should I have just used sand paper or what ..... BTW it is about a 2" x 1" area located on the wheel lip.....Any help and I did try searching...

Oouch, pics of that? I would have had that company pay for it, but anyway...

Yeah, you might have to wet sand them with a fine grit paper to smooth it out.

Well depending on how big the gash is, you could start out with a 600 grit, then 800 and then finish it off with 1000 grit. (ALL WET) Then finish it off with some polish. Do a search under "wet sanding wheels" and you'll find plenty of info on doing this.

Good luck
