Default Tire for C6 Vette Wheel

I just ordered some C6 Vette wheels. They are 17" by 9.5" and I got 275/40 Kuhmo ASX's. On the left front tire and wheel when turning the wheel it comes within a pennies width of hitting the corner of the bumper so I had them take them off. Anyone have a problem like this? If so, what tire did you go with for more clearance?

Are you running the stock suspension?

I'm certainly not an expert, but from what I've heard that is the recommended tire size for that rim. And 17X9.5 fits pretty easily on any Fbody unless the offset is extreme (56mm or greater). May want to have the front end checked to see if anything has been dislocated, especially if it is only happening on one side.

Thanks for the input. We are trying a 255/45 to see if that will help any and I'm getting the front end checked right now.

I finally got them on with good clearance. I'll post some pics up as soon as I get some pics.
