Default Hope I got it right!

I’m starting to second-guess myself.

I have a set of HRE 547’s, the backs are 11”w. They are 42mm offsets as far as I can tell.
They stick out a bit with the 325/30’s I put on them. Quite a bit.
I just blew my 10 bolt so I did some measuring and ordered a new 9” today, 1” shorter then stock. So ½” in on each side. ½” is about 13mm so it will make them fit like 55mm offsets. I’m a little worried now that I should have gone for a 50mm like setup.

Before measuring I did the BFH mod and made quite a lot of room. I have at least 7/8” clear at the tightest point so I think they will fit. Of course now that I ordered the rear I’m nervous I went too much; think I should have gone 3/8”.

Between the big dollar tires, big dollar rims, and now big dollar rear, I hope I have it right.

Well I let you know in a few weeks and I’ll post the before and after pics.

You better have it right, but I would have gotten the right offset before I started beating on the car.

Yah, thats to easy,
would you have passed up brand new $5200 hre's for 2g's if they were so close to fitting. I didn't have a choice of offset. People run 45mm offset TT2's with smaller tires, these rims are 42mm c4 offsets.

I made a low offer and 5 weeks later....got a e-mail

But yah, getting the right size is always good.
My good luck always has a catch.

I'd change out the tires. Running s 55 mm offset 11" wide wheels is going to be tough.
