Default Tire Height question

Just a quick question on tire height:

I've got 26.5" tall M/T ET streets now.

I'm wanting to know if I can fit a 28.0" tire or even a 29.0" tire into my wheel well without 'messaging" or doing anything to the wheel well.

How tall of a tire can I go with?

Thanks

Normally a 28" tire will just fit in the wheel at rest. When spinning at high speeds during a track run the tire grows. A lot of times it is enough to cause interference problems with the front lower corner of the fender.

29" generally fit without modifications.

Hoosier (others?) makes a 27" that fits well.
