When to junk the Drag radials??

Just wondering when (prior to blowing it out) should you consider the drag radial spent? Most of the tires are completely bald up until the 1/2 inch on either side of the tire.

I have run two sets down to the cords. They were both BFG's and both sets were cuttin' 1.6's until the very end.
