Default lumpy tire feeling when braking

not as much when accelerating but whenever im slowing down to a light i always notice this sort of lumping feeling from the tires or wheels. i think its towards the back but not sure. sort of feels like im going over a bump or somethings on the tire. i just had an alignment and all my other problems fixed so this is confusing. brand new tires. however they are snow tires. this is my first set of snows so i dont know if this is what they do or not. thanks

It sounds like warped rotors.

I would agree with warped rotors. I had mine turned under factory warranty and the problem went away. What brand snows? They sometimes feel a little squirrely under braking on dry and warmer pavement. Why are you running snows now? It's not gonna snow for a few more weeks! (crosses fingers, toes and whatever else I can)

Mine were a bit warped last year and got progressively worse. I just lived with it. This spring I finally took it in to have em fixed under warranty. I wish they would have replaced them instead of turning them.

all you guys with warrantys *sigh* that has to be the problem! because i have also noticed the braking has changed alot as well. sometimes it slips too because i'll be at a light and u know when u get that feeling where someone is rolling backwards and u think ure going forward.. well i get that but the car actually is going forward.. damnn i have to throw 200$ at this damn car every two weeks ..i dunno if i can get new rotors right now. how much would turning them cost and how long would it last?
as for the snow tire question turns out i ruined my summer tires in 3 months down to less than 2/32 tread so i just said **** you and threw the stock wheels back on and got the snow tires for the upcoming season.

get slotted rotors this time

and quit braking from 130 plus, it ALWAYS hot spots the rotors

Turning both of them will probably run you about $30 or so. Find a NAPA with a machine shop or some other automotive place that has a machine shop that can turn them for you.

I had horrible luck with the factory rotors warping over and over. I bought slotted/drilled rotors about 3 1/2 years ago, and it's the best thing I could have done. They have yet to warp.
