16 inch wheel options???

16 inch wheel options??? Got a friend with a 00 WS6. He has some 10.5" wide ET Streets for a 16 inch wheel. And just found out that these cars are stubborn when it comes to wheels 
Anyways, so what are his options with aftermarket wheels and also, what does he need to look for when it comes to: backspacing, bolt patterns, grinding, etc. . . . I also read on here that you can take a stock 16 in trams am wheel and mount it, but how wide are they stock?? Will they fit a 10.5" wide tire safely?? Any help would be appreciated.
