Kumho vs. Hankook

Buying a new set of tires soon, trying to find a reasonably priced all season tire with good tread wear. I live in Kansas and need to be able to drive in the snow. Any opinions on the Kumho Ecsta ASX or the Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105? They are both a 275/40/17. If no opinions on those exact tires how about opinions on the manufacturers, I need to buy these soon, all info very much appreciated.

after about 15k miles my hankooks are VERY noisy. sounds like all kinds of hell.

I won't purchase another hankook.

I have a set of Kumho Ecsta 712 275x35x18s on my car. Other than having one bubble and need to be replaced @ 4k miles, they have lasted over 10k miles of 'easy' driving and are in fairly good shape. I cant say much for traction, as my car will break in 3rd gear pretty easily on this tire. As far aas how long it will last its a pretty good tire.
