Default Grind or Spacers for draglites

Just wondering which is safer, better. If I use a spacer does anyone make a stud that's 5/16" longer. Also do Welds use short or long shank lugs.

ARP makes the studs, not sure what the part # is. I got out the grinder for my calipers, and haven't had any problems so far. That was easier for me to do than swap studs. Some people run the spacer on stock lugnuts, but with mine, I only got about 4 turns of the lugnuts and didn't feel safe at all leaving them like that. After I used the grinder, I got 10-12 full turns. For the lugnuts, you can do a search and find the right part #'s. DON'T get the Weld lugnuts. They rust like crazy. I got the Summit brand, a little better, but they still rusted some where the lugnut makes contact with the washers.

Thanks for the reply. I had looked at some of the post where people were grinding the hell out of the calipers and was a little scared. I just got mine put on and I didn't relize that the fronts were the XP's so they required very little grinding. Also my rears are XP's also, 16x8.5 so no grinding.

I have the spacers...they're not on the car anymore. It looks alot worse with them on. grind away.

I thought the XPs didn't require any grinding. They're hard to come by, so I hope you don't run into any problems with them (pothole etc.).

Just how much of the caliper needs to be ground off to clear the 15" Draglites? Does anyone have any before and after pictures ?
