Are you kidding? These African Engineered cars are poping up everywhere! Just this morning I seen a 79 Jeep Grand Wagon with those stage coach wheels. It had more ground clearence than Bigfoot the Monster Truck. I guess the advantage is that you dont need a jack and stands to work on the bottom of the car and its a convienent place to stash your crack pipe!!
Sad part is it IS a fad that's gaining in popularity with a certain ethnic group and even some "wanna be's". In the last year or so I have seen SEVERAL cars that have been jacked up to fit 24's and 26's or larger on them. Luckily all I have seen have been pics on the internet and in a few magazines. I can't imagine how unsafe it is to have the cars with a huge suspension lift JUST to put on big retarded wheels and tires that are going for more than the vehicle they're fitted to. I just don't understand some people's thinking of what looks good. This is the complete opposite of the "roller skate" wheels from about 10 years ago.
