Way back in the day in '98, I was at home and had a flat on the rear of my '98 T/A and had to throw on some 15x10 Eagle Alloys "Hammers" with some 245/50s that I had from my Ranger. They acutally fit without grinding. So I guess there are some 15's that will fit. I ran them for a week or 2.

I don't see alot of 5.5 inch backspace wheels around. Can you just run a spacer?

FYI

ALL of the F-body pictures shown have at least a 10 inch wheel. 8 inch wheels are too small unless you only want to run smaller tires.

Ok soooooo why do I need the back space? Is it because the rim/tire will rub against the shock or what? I will be using 8" wide slicks

8 inch slicks are pretty small...you'll need a smaller 8 inch wheel. Unless a race-event dictates you have to run such a small tire, I woudln't consider it...it really is tiny... Our larger wheels and tires like you see on our site fit very easy with no modifcations grinding or spacers.

Ok I've found a pair of rims they are 30X12.5 by 15. Any chance of these fitting? What part wouldn't fit? Can I safely remove the rear rotors and plug the brake line to make these wheels fit?

No chance in fitting. You need to do some searching in the wheel section since it appears that you are not familar with what works on an F-body. This topic comes up all the time...information you need should be very simple to find.

If you do not want to search, as mentioned, I can set you up with exactly what will work and will fit your appliction without the need of grinding, adding spacers etc.

Our wheels are the lightest direct fit wheel on the market. You get what you pay for.

Weld Racing Engineering Dept. is currently evaluating the feasibility of modifying their current 15" barrel design to accomodate the rear Fbody calipers. If this change takes place moderately priced wheels at under $200 each will finally be available.
