Default GS-D3 vs m/t DR

ok, so the 245 falkens that came on my car are finally starting to go bald...thank god, they provided almost no traction from a dig. my situation is that im in college and i dont have a whole lot of money but i do ok, i dont do alot of street racing and maybe visit the track once every other month but i want traction when i need it, no more babying the car off the line just so i dont roast.

a couple of people say go with the 255 mickey thomspon dr's, but if i spend over 300$ on a set of tires i need them to last me awhile because i want headers next and as i said before i dont come across alot of cash very often. so i was thinking of these...http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....m=255YR6F1GSD3 they seem like a good all around tire, but i have heard a few cobra owners complain about them. im in florida so no snow, and im not too concerned about ride comfort or wet traction, mostly a fair treadwear and dry traction. any other suggestions would be great thanks!. car is a 98 z28 a4 with slp loudmouth, lid and stock 5 star 16inch wheels.

BFGoodrich KD tires are awesome in the dry and have descent treadwear. If you want even more treadwear and slightly less traction, go with the KDW. Besides, the GS-D3 is ugly, lol.

these are the kd's correct? i would love to have these tires they simply look awewsome....unfortuneatly they only make them for 17 and 18 inch wheels, im sporting thr stock 16's for now, also those tires are extremely expensive i was thinking about 350 for 2 rear tires.

The KDW is also a pretty good tire, and is made in your size. They are not quite as good in the dry as the KD, but they are much better in the rain.
