stripping wheels

I have just stripped my 17" ten spokes ss wheels and I've tried reapplying the aircraft paint remover to get it to shine a little more. There seems to still be some haze or paint, whatever it may be, on the wheel. How do I get rid of this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like you need to wet sand and do some polishing or buffing to me. i am going to strip the paint off my other set of wheels (ZR1's) and polish them out so they bling.

What was the original finish on the wheel? Was it a polish/clearcoat finish or a silver painted finish?

the original finish was a silver painted finish. Just regular ss ten spokes.

The reason I ask is because I've stripped a set of HPR5's with a hypersilver finish and basically the wheel was a rough cast wheel that they just laid the paint on rediculously thick to get it smooth enough to clearcoat. I had to apply seven coats of stripper before I was down to bare metal. Once I was there, I had a finish that was pretty similar to what a stock LT1 intake looks like: oatmeal. I'd have to see some pics to be able to point you in the right direction as far as what you'll need to do to get them blinging. I don't wanna guess because it may end up causing you to do more work than you need to. Is there any way you can post pics of what the stripped wheels look like?
