Spacers on the rear, do I need longer studs?
I have 17x11" on the rear. I noticed that I was getting some slight rub with the tire on the inner wheel well and when the rear axle had no load (hanging) the wheel will lightly touch the bump stop. I have a spare set of Doug Rippie Motorsport 3/8" wheel spacers that I was going to put on to stop the rub. I know the fender can be bent with the BFH mod and the bump stop can be dremmeled, but it seems easier to just put on the spacers. My question is, is it safe to do so on the stock length wheel studs? It seems like there is still a decent amount of stud to grip with the lugs, but I don't want to have a wheel fly off during an autox event
.Thanks,

I wouldn't put anything bigger than a 1/4" spacer on w/o getting longer studs.
