285 40 17 on front and back?

Default 285 40 17 on front and back?
Im getting 17x9.5 wheels and Im wondering if I can run 285's instead of the 275's? I am lowered with the prokit? Will this rub?

They should be fine. I have them front and back with my 17x10 Budnik Hammers and have not had any rubbing.

Humm I did see in the facts that they could rub on the front...

In the front they may rub a bit but even my 275 rub the fender well every once and awhile. I plan on 285's when I need a new set.

My car isn't lowered yet. I don't know if it will rub on a lowered car.

My camaro is lowered 2" and before I went with the Z06's I had TT2's with 285/40/17 all the way around. At stock ride height no rubbing in the back and only a little bit of rubbing in the front. I would have been able to take a heat gun and mold in the part it was rubbing if I really wanted to. Once I lowered it I had no rubbing at all.
