Tire recommendations Hello,
Looking at getting some staggered rims, 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. The dealer I'm talking with is trying to sell me tires that are 235/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear. He says the overall height difference is negligable. I'm worried about how it will look. Here are my options:
Cheapest are the Falken ZE-512s in 235/40 and 265/35.
$100 more are the Yokohama AVS ES100 in 235/40 and 265/35
For the same as the Yokos, I can get Dunlop Direzza DZ101s in 255/35 and 275/35.
Nankang NS-IIs are cheaper than the Falkens, but he didn't seem all that happy with them.
There are other options as well, but cost is an issue. I'd appreciate any of your opinions, or any other options in the price range of the mentioned tires.

I just went through my first pair of Falkens 255/50/16. they worked ok. i didnt get to use them like i wanted to because i didnt realize that the whole time i had them on my car they tire shop put to much air in them and the center wore down VERY fast. but after i let some air out they hooked ok. (i'v never had a tire that hooked good though) they didnt ware as bad when I had the correct pressure in them. its just that i didnt let air out until it was to late. so if you get Falkens be sure and not to run to much pressure or it will not last long at all!!
