tires?

what are the widest tires that i can fit on my 17"x9" z06 rims safely and i want drag radials but how long would they last on the expressway i would like to take my car out of state every couple of weekends thanks for the help

thats the highest i would go...if it was a 9.5 i would do a 285

i've heard of people puts 305's & 295's on 9" rims

I have seen them squeezed on a 9.5, but not a 9, the 305 nitto runs small, so it is basically the size tire just slightly taller than the 295 bfg. But according to the sticky and manufacturer specs they will not fit, so I am not recommending they be fit.
