I want 315's...what size wheel do I get?
First off, I've looked through all the sticky's, and I couldn't figure this out. For some reason, tire and wheel measurements are like a foreign language to me. I know I want 315's for my 01 WS6. What wheel size does that limit me to? Can I get 18's? Or should I stick to 17's if I get 315's? Fender lip rolling(or whatever that mod is) shouldn't be a problem. I either want the American Racing TT II's, Smoothie II's or the C6 wheels. I know that 9.0" or 9.5" wheels won't fit the 315's, but do 10, 10.5 and 11 work?
Another question: Do I need to get wider tires for the front if I get 315's in the back? Or should I stay with the stock width?

Most people will step up to an 11" wide rim for 315's (they can actually fit on rims narrower than 11" but it's not recommended). You can go with whatever height rim you want, you'll just have to vary the final size of the tire to properly fit the taller or shorter rims, for example a popular 17X11 tire size is 315/35/17 and for an 18X11 tire it's 315/30/18. The 18" tires tend to cost quite a bit more too though. You won't have to worry about rolling the fenders if your just stepping up to 315's, most of the guys that roll their fenders are running very large drag tires. A popular size difference for front and rear is 17X9 front and 17X11 rear. The staggered look always looks better to me.
