Got the nitto DR's installed
Very nice riding tire. Far as traction goes, they help quite a bit. Even w/o heating them up. I'm running 25 #'s of air in them on the street, which seem's about right after chalking the tire's and driving on them a bit.
For sure you still can't go wot from a standstill, but I can use a whole lot more throttle then with my old bald goodyear's.
i definately want DR's and nitto's seem to be the better street tire out of the two, but i was wondering if i were to go with a 17x11/315 setup if that would be too much for my basically stock car...
but you say you can still spin them? what wheels are they on? what sizes?
No, I havn't tried the bfg's. These re my first dr's.
From all I've read the bfg's and especially the mt's are hand's down the better tire's for grip.
Like you, I know the nitto's are the better tire for all around driving.
I went with a set of 245 50x16's.
They are on my factory stock wheel's
maybe i should go all out and get a 315 setup rather than sticking with a 9.5/275 setup

Never thought about the sidewall thing.
That would make sense.
