gap question
gap question hey guys. i have 17 x 8.5 w/ 255 40r 17 tires. i lowered the car about 1.5 inches, but i still don't like that gap. would 255 45 17's or 255 50 17's look bad? i still want the low profile look, but i want some of that gap gone....

Well #1 your tires are too small in diameter. A 245/45ZR17 is the right diameter. Could step up to a 255/45ZR17, but the OD will be a little larger than stock.

man, just get a 275/40-17 all the way around and be done with it (assuming the wheel width is at least 9.0")
same size that's on the stock SS, so with the drop, it should fill out the gap nicely....and you'll get the extra width over the 255's that are on it now
