Default repair or replace firehawk wheels

Hey guys sometime in the near future i am going to have to get my wheels rechromed due to the chrome flaking off. Two of my wheels have slight curb rash from the previous owner and i would definitly want to get this fixed if i was getting them rechromed. Any ideas on how much this would cost? Im wondering if it would be better for me to just get a new set of wheels. I love the firehawk wheels but if its more expensive to fix than it is to just buy new wheels ill prolly just get new ones. Any suggestions on that? thanks alot guys

I believe you need to repair them as they don't make them anymore.

Theres a company called Wheels America. I know a guy who got his set refinished and rechromed for about 150 a wheel. They do great work and thats what I plan on doing with my firehawk wheels when I buy another set of wheels. Then im going to store my hawks wheels since they dont make them anymore. Look them up online and give them a call.

I have had alot of pitting and flaking on the inside..is that where yours is? I just wire wheeled it down as good as I could and sprayed them with engine paint, aluminum color, according to SLP, the reason for the pitting/flaking is heat and or some intrusive wheel cleaner. soap and water for those who havent run into problems yet..

Pictures please. I was thinking about painting the inner barrels as a cheap fix. Then when the money tree grows strip and rechrome them...

Have to wait for pics., I couldnt imagine anyone having more worse wheels than mine, pitting and flaking were terrible, I did a side at a time, wire wheeled insides all the way around and them put the drill on reverse and went around again, always changing the angles of the wire wheel. messy and wear eye protection. wiped them down good with rag, light dampened with mineral spirits, masked the entire front with painters tape, that took the longest, and then painted them with high temp paint, they still dont look the best but 75% better than before, its like you can see where the pits and flaking once were, scarred maybe, maybe someone could one up me on that...

Personally I would strip them, then polish them. Rechroming would be my next bet. Either way dont get rid of them.

I love my Firehawk wheels so much I am thinking about having the rears widened to 17x11. Can't decide though.
