i have falken 451's and they wear good have about 10k on them and there holding up.
the falkens seem to run smaller though.
i have seen bfg's g force in the same size [275/40/17] and they look a lot wider.
the falkens look more like a 245/45/17 than the size i got.

I have a bastard combo. I had slicks and skinnies which were sweet, but I don't have the room for two sets of wheels and tires, plus I am moving so I really didn't want to deal with that. I bought some 35th anniverary SS wheels that came with some Kumho Ecsta Supra's on them. They're nice, but with the power I'm putting down (G5X3/LS6's/gear/stall), not the best choice. So I went hunting. I ended up snagging a really nice deal on some 265/40ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars for the front, and I bought another pair of my favorite tires for the rear. I had them before and got dumb and sold them. BFG KD's. IMO, the BEST street tire. The Goodyear F1 GS-D3's rock too, but I think the KD's are a bit better, except for in the rain. I just love the width and tread pattern of the KD's as well as their performance. All four don't match, but I'm not going for handling.
A nice tire for the money is the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval...probably the BEST for the money.

Its crazy that I am having such a hard time finding new tires, Ive spent the last 4 days searching and searching. I start leaning towards one and then something comes up, or someone says something bad. Im drained, and this is picking tires. I hope I dont plan on doing something major in the near future lol. I am a daily driver, need something around $125 a tire, and something that is good for around a little less than 400hp and in the rain and drivablity... Any out there? grrr. I really liked what I heard about the bfgoodrich g force sports.

Had a set of used MT sportsmans... front's were 14X4 backs were 14X10...they were tough...I beat em and still had enough tread that they've changed hands three times after I sold em (car cuaght on fire)

275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sports on all four corners.
Great tire for handling and ride, but definately lacking in the traction area. On the street just cruising, I love them, but I am waiting on MT to release their 18" DR's and I will switch to them on the rears.

I'm running Nitto Extreme's 555R's 275/40/17. I'm extremely satisfied with them.
Dry Traction: GREAT
Rain: So far great.
Noise: No road/tire noise at all.
Tread wear: is excellent.
Price: decent
Overall I highly recommend these tires and plus they look great too!

I have searched off and on for 2 months for my new sit of tires. I wanted something better than the basic 712..sumito etc.
I had the Kumho MX good tire and still got 4/32 with 22k on them(good since there only 220 treadwear) and there only like 125 a tire from tiretrack...I wanted to see if Icould try something different.
I went the Wide Oval by Fireston that or the MX was the only real choices for me. All the KDW,KD,GS-D3,Michelin tirse was like 180-260 a tire and your paying for 5% better not 50% better but that much of the price.
I will let you guys know when I get the firestone on and balacned. I figured if I can get 30k since I have got 22k plus of the MX that with the added price of the tire it will even out in a longer tread wear by maybe 5k so that will pretty much make that difference up. And I'm getting them local since it comes out cheaper.
tires shouldn't be such a hard choice but it seems they are.
So for under the 160.00 price range I would go withthe MX or wide oval..really anything under the 200 range....
