Need help on tire sizes

Need help on tire sizes Hey I just bought the C6 ZO6 17x9.5 up front and 18x10.5 in chrome for the rear from Tomz wheels. I believe that they said the rear offset is going to be 58mm. I have found the tires that I want from Discount tire direct but Im having problems figuring out the sizes.
Im going with the BFGoodrich G-ForceT/A KDW
I know that I want a 295/35-18 in the rear. I was going to get a 315 but I think that is just to big for what I need.
And here is where i run into a problem the front
I want to get like a 255-275 front tire but the only option I see on discount tire direct for a 17x9.5 rim is a 225/45R-17 this would most definately look to skinny wont it
I have seen people with these front tires on a 17 inch wheel and have it wider than that. What to do? Anyone with suggestions please help. Thanks
