Question What tires to get? NEED HELP

So right now I have the vette rims which are 17's front 18's rear....the fronts don't need replacing but the backs do so I am looking to buy a good tire to replace those ones that are in the rear. I am thinking about getting some sort of street dr's because i want better traction. The size i have right now is 275/35/18 I found some nittos that were pretty close in size but they were 285/35/18 i think but i did find some BFG g-force T/A drag radials for the 275/35/18.....what are you guys opinions? Are those g-force dr's gonna be any good?

275/35ZR18 or 285/35ZR18 will work. The 285 will be a tad taller than stock, so your speedo will be off.

yeah that tad bit of height doesnt bother me i knew that i would have to adjust my speedo if i went with 285 anyways its no big deal because i still have my hhp....I am just wanting yalls inputs on what tires to get b/c last time I was at the track i spun the whole 1st gear and a tad of second and thats on a stock auto so I need a decent street tire that will at least hook a little better at the track cuz my '60 sucked at a 2.2-2.3.

What kind of budget? I'd strongly suggest a Goodyear GSD3 or BFG g-Force.

I did this same search I have both of these tires one on each car.

KUMO MX
Firestone Wide oval

These are cheaper and get really good ratings. The kumo are rated at 220 treadware and I think I got 25k on them with tread left. Ijust have the firestones for about 1000 miles. And there really great...

You do get what you pay for...but I think its good to get good tires just don't pay for the best the goodyears and michelines are over 200 a tire. These are good tires.

I did hours and hours of research and reading on different places. And I have used both tires. I really do like them.

Some of the goodyears have balancing issues I have read.....take that with a grain of salt however.

I've got the Firestone Firehawk Wide ovals and can say they really are a great budget tire I haven't tried the GSD3's or any dr's but these hook really nicely for only being a 245. At the track I can stall it up to the factory 1500 or so with no spin so I'm sure a 275/285 will hook even better.
