Nitto DRs I go to the track once a year when the local club rents the track. I get in about 6-8 passes although you could probably get in 50 passes. I can't break into the 12's. I'm at 13.17 with 2.16 60's. This is on KDW street tires. Would a set of Nitto Dr's get me over the hump and into the high 12's. Given the fact that I only go to the track once a year, what ever rear tire goes on the back becomes my DD. Thanks.
If it is your DD keep an eye out for the tread wear rating. I didn't want to replace tires every few thousand miles, hence the stock rubber. I've read, where people claim, a sticky tire is one the best mods you can do.
To give you an idea of tread wear, my wifes bmw has runflats, which the tread rating is in the 180's and a regular passenger tire is in the 550 range. Her tires were bald and SHOWING thread at just 15,000mi. Them suckers dont come cheep either. Hope this helps and good luck with your choice!
