Default Need Advice on Tire Size :-)

I've been saving up some money for a while now and now that winter is here I'm going to have the Camaro stored most of the time while putting around in my old 76 Ford F100.

So obviously it's mod time, along with quite a few bolt-ons and exterior modifications along with some stereo stuff, the big mod is going to be new rims/tires. I've always loved the way the Y2K C5 Rims look so I'm picking up a set for around $400 bucks, and am going to go with Fuzion ZRi tires all the way around. The rims are 17x8.5 would love to have 9 or 9.5 but I'm on a budget if I'm gonna get all the mods I want done.

Basically my question is what size tires would be best overall for Me, I was thinking 255/45 but was wondering if anyone had other opinions, I think 255 is the max u can run with a 8.5 Rim.

Thanks in Advance :-).

245/45ZR17 would be the perfect tire for those wheels and maintain the stock OD of the tire.
