Default Need help on wheel & tire decision...please

I have a 2000 Firebird with just your average 17" wheels and BF Goodrich tires. I really want some new wheels and I was wondering how much the ride/performance would change if I put 18" or 19" wheels with some performance tires. All this business with the loading index and everything got me worried. I was thinking the 18" black C-6 Motorsports wheels wouldn't look bad on my red bird (I couldn't live with the chevy cap...I'd have to pick up a bird or GM one). Any suggestions on the tires? I saw the wheels on tomzwheels.com and they looked well-priced compared to others.

depending on the wheel width i would look into the KDW's(new tread) or if you dont mind dropping coin, the AVS Sports are one of my faves, the shorter sidewall will decrease roll in cornering, making for better handling, and the wider the tire the better the grip
