Here is a link to a post that some Lambo guys have been talking about. Does changeing wheel size really affect a car as much as they say? I have a hard time believeing this since there are thousands of people with biggere wheels and the only time I have heard of it affecting a car is on that site.

wow, i tell you what, these guys want their cars all stock and only they can drive them like michael schumacher, there is so much bashing of wheels and "wheel enthusiasts" on that thread its hard to even pass decent judgment on the topic...

my opinion is if you plan on running 200mph like they keep talking about theres probably worse things than aftermarket wheels to worry about...

I don't think they were saying aftermarket wheels are bad (not that they weren't, but weren't for the most part). It sounds like those cars are all wheel drive, which is why the gearboxes break and crap. I can only imagine when people change the diameter between the two wheels on an awd car at some point the difference in speeds of them (because the transmission would be trying to spin them at the same speed) would cause something bad to happen. They were also complaining about traction control and crap, which you guys would have to worry about (not me and my third gen) and would probably mess things up a little...I wouldn't put too much credit in anything I said, but that's what I think.

Yea but Lamborghini's arent the only AWD cars. I could see monster 24"+ wheels affecting a veichle mainly because I know it can. I guess I just dont believe that after market wheels can screw up the car as much as some of those guys are saying, since after market wheels are on almost everything now days.

Question

Unsprung weight and diameter and many other factors change the geomety of suspension and the movements .. as far as the car taking a 90 at speed... I am confused unless something locked or broke in the drivetrain.

Now we all know that running different sizes on an awd as well as the rear of our cars will cause issues!
