I know in your area the C5 Z06 wheels are played out, but there are few Z06 or modified F-bodys in my area running these rims. I still like them and in 18" they'd probably look pretty good. Here's a SOM vert with them.

Only change in handling I can see is the car will feel more responsive because of the tires having less sidewall to flex.

I dont know about the different wheel weights but my 18" IForged are a good noticable amount lighter than the factory 17" ones.

I haven't noticed any change in ride. Well... maybe just a little rougher but not much.

I haven't noticed any changed in acceleration.

One thing I have noticed, is the car feels like it is on rails. It grips pavement like no tomorrow. I went from p245/50R16 to p285/35R18!!!! GM should have put some meat on these cars like this from the factory.

They are comparable to the GSC's that were on the car originally. Like I said the Car originally had 16's with 245/50's, now I have a staggered setup 245/40/18 F and a 275/35/18 R on 8.5' and 9.5' wide rims. The rest of my suspension is still stock. Obviously if I had bigger swaybars and new shocks the handling would be better regardless of tire size. Personally I think the 18's are more for looks as you can get a car with 16's to show great numbers on a skidpad.
I can tell you that the grip has definetly increased as far as straightline acceleration compared to my last set of 16's. But the added weight and wider footprint may be affecting this as well.
