chrome oxidizing
chrome oxidizing i have a set of chrome wheels that i let sit on a car and they have oxidized in places in the spokes and so on. NO flaking or peeling, just oxidation pitting.
i realize that they wont be perfect without re chroming, but i am wondering if there is anything chemical wize that will eat that stuff up without damaging the chrome? i dont mind re polishing, but the pollish itself isnt abrasive enough to knock down the oxidation?
any suggestions?

I've used turtle wax chrome polish on chrome exhaust tips and worked pretty good. The only thing is, the wheels will eventually get worse. Everyone likes chrome, but all chrome wheels end up peeling.

I have a set of chrome Keystone Klassics that I bought new back in 1990 for my '77 CUTLASS and they still look great!
