Please help!!! Wheel size question...

Please help!!! Wheel size question... I'm sorry, I have looked over the threads here and I cannot see what I am looking for.
A friend of mine just bought a set of used Formula 16" wheels for me as a Christmas present. I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird that the VIN says is a Formula, but I don't believe is. It has a 305 TBI. and currently has the 15" GTA wheels on it.
My question is this... am I going to have a problem putting 16" wheels on it from the Formula. These are apparently WS6 wheels (I could be wrong) and definitely has different offsets for the front and rear wheels.
I saw on a website a listing for spacers and lower control arms for the rear wheels. Are these necessary for my car or can I just bolt these wheels on and go.
