Default 15in rim ?

i had a set of universal 15in rims on my car for DR's the offset was completly wrong and the stuck out around 1.5-2.0in from my fender. the other day i put them on because i was bored and notice that they were butterfling out and and looked like they were plowing. i took them off and put my others back on after that.
my question is could that have keeped me from getting a better ET? anyways i am gettin some 255 for the stockers so we will see.
Thanks

no the offset of the rims was wrong and the weight of the car made the rims and tire look like that.
