Default Pirelli PZero Nero M&S?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....tnum=74WR70NMS

What do you guys think of this tire? I belive in 235/55/17 it is what came stock on the GT"s I used to sell for Ford. We took one and slammed 1-2 gear on it and it spun for about 10 feet or so, but thats not bad considering the 3.55 gears and 320# tq they come with on such a skinny *** tire. Has anyone tried this in 275/40/17 on an F-bod? Opinions? I wouldnt normally consider an M&S tire, but tirerack seems to give them good reviews and I have heard of stock GT's on stock tires cutting under 2.0's

I'd rather have the BFG KDW for a car that won't see snow.

Its just all 4 of my KDW's now show chopping and you can see/feel it. Not pleased. The front I understand, it was misaligned, but the back!?

Any idea how many miles on the tires?

I've had two sets on two different cars and they've both been fine. Only put about 2000 miles on the current set though. But I can't say that I've known anyone else with these tires to have a problem like that.

Perhaps the tires had been rotated so the damage to all 4 was done by the misaligned front?

It's possible that is the case, the tires prolly have a good many miles on them but are by no means bald. I am just unhappy that they are all chopped up and all They did show VERY EVEN front/rear wear and that leads me to belive a reasonably done rotation schedual, even though the previous owner babied the car (I was told he was a 40yo man from TX) and I belive it after finding a Metal Masses "big hair big sound" CD under the seat, lmao

I run the Pirelli tires on the front of mine in the 275 width. My friend currently does also. I am very pleased with the tire. My friend probably has about 20k miles on them right now with probably another 10k in them easily. I have about 6k on mine and they show basically no wear at all. If the tire did not have the "M+S" stamped on the side, you would not have the slightest clue that they are an all season tire. They perform well throughout the summer and well into the cooler temps of November here in Michigan. Hydroplaning resistance is very good with these tires. Snow traction is also exceptional for such a low profile 275 tire.

I would not hesitate to purchase this tire again when my V6 needs new tires. Check some of my recent posts in the wheel and tire section to read some of my comments on the Pirelli tires.
