What about these tires? 
Unless you live where it NEVER rains after you have 1,000 miles on them, it's probably not the best idea for a daily driver. When brand new I've read that they do awesome in rain, but a few miles and it gets pretty miserable. Considered them for my daily driver summer wheels, did some research, and went with BFG KDW2s instead.

you can even run the KDW for a street tire, I have 285's out back on my FC in the KDW and they are great in the rain for a performance tire.
the Kumho MX is a good all around street tire too.
I plan on getting the Azenis RT615 next actually because the MX was a little too tame for me
...I drive nicely in the rain and love to drive like a maniac in the dry!
