Default stock wheel size

would the wheels off a 2000 firebird be the same width as a 95 TA rim, im trying to find a replacement rim and one i found is off a 2000 frebird. it has a 235/55 tire on it i know its a 16 inch rim but i dont know the width. i have 245/50 16 tires on my wheels, even though the tires are different shouldn't the witdh or the rim be the same? they look like the same wheels i have the stock silver 5 stars, did they make different size wheels for the firebirds and T/As or are they all the same?

Yes....same thing.

Some cars, especially V6 cars, came with 235/55/16 tires. My Z28 is one of the rare ones that came with that size Eagle GA tires. Since they are not Z rated, my car came with a 117 mph speed limiter and a steel driveshaft.

But yes...all factory wheels are interchangeable.

Only Firehawks, SS's, and WS6's came with 17 x 9" wheels. All other cars came with 16 x 8" wheels, except for the very poorly optioned cars that came with 15" steel wheels with hubcaps.

16" x 8" is the stock Firebird wheel size, for both V6 and V8's.
