drag tire question????

I hope this is not a stupid

question but why is it that a lot of drivers take out the center caps on the rear drag rims. Is there a reason for that.

not sure if there is another reason other then just not putting un-needed parts on the car. Its just one more thing to get lost or slow ya down if the wheel has to come off the car.

i have a spare set of the Z0 wheels for the DR's and I usually dont put them in just because I know its only for a day. maybe thats just me though
