Default HELP! BFG DR's won't bead?!

Yesterday, I was mounting my brand new 275 35 18 BFG DR's on my 18x9.5 Zo6's. The KDW's mounted nice on the fronts and I've mounted tires using this machine before. On the DR's, the bead on the back side of the wheel seated nicely, but around the outside of the wheels, there's approx. 3 in. of the tire that won't pop on place. The same thing happened on both wheels. I maxed out the pressure on the machine too, 60 psi and they wouldn't pop in place. I used lots of soap, tried hitting with mallet, bouncing the wheel and tire up and down, nothing. The wheels are sitting in my garage right now and they're holding 32 psi and tires won't seat. Is there a trick to mounting these DR's? I think I'm just going to take them to a shop this week. Saturday is race night so I gotta get these things ready.

Aight listen, we run into this all the time at the shop. What do you use for lube? Try WD-40 or something very slick. They make a lube paste that is the best you can buy for it but you probably wont find it at your local carts store. We have put up to 60 PSI in some b4 they seated.

x2 on the wd40. If you want to try something else first, if you're using the white paste, add a little water to the brush, mix it with the paste to make it "soapier" in way. I've seen this work, but the WD40 will work better. Just deflate and break free the part of the outer bead that HAS seated, then lube the whole perimeter.

Let it sit in the sun for awhile...or someway to heat it up.
