Default Help!

I am somewhat budget limited i have 02' 10 spoke SS rims w/nitto 555 tires currently on front and rear. the tread is pretty much shot and i have trouble hooking in 3rd sometimes..... I don't know if i should just buy a good tire and stick it on the rears and it will solve my problem or if i should just pick up a set of drag slicks on rims and swap them out...Would a set of M/T streets work on the rear rims?...... I drive the car everyday so i need it to be somewhat practical. But i defanitly wouldnt mind rolling around on a set of cheater slicks in the summer. Interested in what you guys would do. heres the list of mods on my car. All input is appreciated.

Nitto 555R Drag Radial for the street\strip...MT Dr's will hook better, but won't last as long...
