Default 315 question??

Hey guys, whats up?? I know you have seen this question a million times but I'm gonna ask it again. I've searched and read all the related threads but I'm still concerned. I have a 1993 Trans Am and I want to run 315's in the back. I will be getting 17 x 11 rims so that won't be a problem, I wish there were other choices besides ZR1's and TT's. Everybody has these wheels, they are a little played out, if anybody knows of another rim that is 11" wide please let me know.

Now to my real question...In order to fit the 315 I have read that you need to do the BFH mod and roll your fender lips. Is this all I will need to do?? I read that some people were cutting off there bump stop brakets completely, I'm kinda nervous about that. Is cutting the bump stop braket necessary?? I will be running either Nitto Drag radials or Micky Thompson Drag radials I have not decided yet.

I know a lot of you have done this tire/wheel combo soooooooooo many times but I was hoping you could help a brother out one more time and steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance, you guys are great!!!!

Hey man i cut off my bump stops to clear and it still ride sweet plus i rolled my fenders to help out and i have my tires mounted on Z06 wheels and don't have any problem with clearence. And for drag tires i am gonna run 29.5x10.5x15 with slight little BFH'n.

On my prev z i grinded off the bump stops. I'm keeping them on there on this next z though. Just jack it up from the rearend and you wont need to mess w them.

imprtkiller. what size are your z06s?

There is also TTM's to consider they come in 10.5" but a 315 will still fit.

No, it's not necessary, just learn to jack up the rear by the differential case and you'll be fine.

my car fit 315s fine, sumitomos run kinda narrow, but i still have some clearance. the bumpstop rubs on full droop a bit but thats what the center chunk is for.
