Default rear alignment

Ok this has been on my mind since last week

I had the 17x11 rear zr1 rims added with the sumi 315s tossed on them.

Had to do some hammering etc.. and ended up needing to use the adjustable pan hard rod to re-center the rear wheels as they were off to the left by about 1 inch.

Now im wondering.. on a stock height car.. if both rims are the same off set and tires the same etc... why would the wheels be off center like they were?

I also have adjustable lower control arms.. if I adjust the pan hard rod and move the rear wheels over... will I need to adjust the lca's any to adjust the tires any?

Does the panhard rod evenly move the entire rear? or is it angled some and then the lca's need to be adjusted to even it out?

shrugs.. the car seems to drive fine and cant really tell of any wear issues yet but its just been a week.

You're rear end was off by an ince and that without lowering it...???

I could see where it's off a little, but an inch? Generally when you lower
the car the rear swings over and you need a APB to recenter. Has your car been
in an accident or anything?

Yea. When we swapped out the old stock rims and put on the zr1's it was offset to the left about an inch or more.

Its stock ride height, no lowering spring or air bags or aftermarket shocks etc.

Had to get under there and adjust the phr to even it out.

No accidents or anything. Or at least wasn't ever reported if it had been etc.
