drag slicks? im lost

drag slicks? im lost my buddy has a 99 z28 with an ms3, tsp heads ,full bolt ons and a moser 12 bolt. he is currently running the stock 245 size tires. im trying to find a set of slicks and wheels for the back without breaking the bank? im looking for something that will fit without modification. maybe around a 26x10x15 on some nice looking drag wheels but im lost when it comes to tires and wheels. and do all drag slicks require tubes? thank you
No they do not require tubes. Welds are not that expensive, I picked up some used ones for 575 with tires. These will require modification to the calipers though. If you are looking for no modification then you are looking at Bogarts. They are real nice pieces but they aren't cheap.
The tubes make it so you screw the rim to the tire so the rim does not spin inside of the slick. It's a loss of traction, most likely with his mods it wouldnt be a bad idea.
