Dry Performance
Well my drivers rear tire took a **** on the way back from the Evansville, IN leg of the Power Tour, must have hit something that punctured it which caused it to immediatly blow out the side wall-was kinda scary. Anyway, they're all getting low on tread so i'm ready for a full new set. What i'm looking for is the best dry performance tire (will never be driven in rain/snow) that is decently cheap - will not pay more than 150/tire unless there is some rarity. that will last me 20K or more miles. I'de really like to get away w/ 120 a tire if possible.
I'm hoping to be able to sacrifice wet performance to get these qualities, or am i just **** out of luck and have to man up and buy $700+ worth of tires.
These will be going on the stock 16" rims too. I hear the 555s are good, but will they last me enough miles. Others i've considered:
Nitto 555R
Firestone Wide Oval
Yokohama AVS ES100
Bridgestone Potenza RE750
G-Force Sport
G-Force KD/KDWs
Goodyear GS-D3s
Are the falken/sumitumo tires any good? My brain hurts from all these numbers, brands, and prices. Any advice would be great. I'm going to bed.
