Default TT2 Master Formula + Power Ball

So I bought some new front 17x9.5s and they are super high polished so I needed to clean up my FUBARed rear 17x11s. I went over the wheels first with an SOS pad to get off all the funky stuff and oxidation. I the went over that with Master Formula metal polish on a Mothers Mini Powerball. I still needed to go over the edges with a regular MF towel but I think they turned out pretty good. I resorted to the Powerball because it was taking way too much elbow grease just to do it by hand. I expected the Master Formula to work better by hand with all of the hype I've seen about it. I'm sure you could get a similar finish with any good metal polish and a Powerball. Yes, I'm lazy Anyway here are links to the pics I took. First pic has a rim just gone over with the SOS pad in the foreground and a finished rim in the background

Second pic is a closeup of a finished wheel.

Hope this helps some of you guys out.

Larry

Thanks for reminding me that I need to go out and get one. It looks like it's worth the money. I'm surprised that the SOS pad didn't mess the surface of your rims up.

All the tiny scratches from the steel wool polished right out. The water marks were harder to get rid of than the scratches

I think maybe a super fine steel wool would have been better. Or go over the wheel again with a finer wool after the SOS. Maybe go over them with a fine grit paper then polish.
An SOS to polish sounds like skipping a step or 2 to me. That is like going from 120 grit to 1500.
