Default 9" Speedlines with 315 rears?

This has been covered a million times i am sure, but i have heard some people say yes and some say no, can i use a 315 grag radial on the rear of my 17x9 speedline? if need be i will grind the bump stop and bang the side wall? would this work or not? if not is the 315 just to big or why wont it work?

the sidewall will start to roll over which is not good. and you'll get irregular wear, just go with a different size

yeah it will. the main problem with rubbing inside the wells is the wheels no the tires. the tires rub on the fender lip which is why they need ot be rolled if you do a 315 on a 11" wheel combo. i wouldnt go any wider than a 285 40 17 on your 9" wheel.

315's require a 10.5" wide or wider wheel.

A 9" wheel the PERFECT tire is a 275/40ZR17.

The widest to run safely: 285/40ZR17
