Question Need some input

Okay guys apprently search if FUBAR'd again and I need some help.

A friend of mine has some 15x8 Weld Superlites and the backspacing is 4.5". I know we need 5.5 for our cars. My question is will these work on the car and how bad will they look or stick out.

They have brand new (100 miles/no burnouts) 275/50/15 MT drag radials on them and the fronts are 15x4 with brand new 26x7.5 MT Sportsmans. He is only wanting $500 for everything including lugs and caps.

Any help is appreciated

Default Do you have a stock rear end length?

If so you need 7.5 backspacing I don't think that will even work.

I know for the 15x10s the required backsapcing is 7.5 and the 15x8s need to be 5.5

My question is will these stick to far out since they have 4.5"???

I had a set with a 4.5 and tried to put them on with no mods and it was about a 1/2 away from being ableto start threading the studs .
Had to go to the local auto store and find some wheel studs that were an inch longer that did notcost that much .
Though for $30 you can buy some ARP extended wheel studs from 2 1/2 inch all the way to 3 1/2 that are really strong . Then you could run whatever spacer that will enable you to get them to fit without grinding the brakes to bad if any .

Did you try to grind the calipers or did you just run a spacer? I know they will need grinding which doesn't bother me at all. I just need to know if they'll stick out to far from the quarters because of the backspacing

Buy them. Sell the rears and buy the correct backspacing. The tires alone are worth the $500.

with drag wheels right now it is a sellers market . the 4.5 works on mustangs so you should be able to get your money easy on the wheels/tires and just get exactly what you need .
trying to save up for some bogarts since you got to pay to play . they go on with no mods .

I'll eventually get Bogarts, I had a set on my Camaro when it burnt I'll put these on my 94 to DD on then which them out when I take the TA to the track

He said he would seperate the rear tires so I am picking up the fronts and the rear DRs for $400. Thanks again guys

Superlites are an early version of draglites. Same wheel, same weight just a different name

You need shank lug nuts.....

I would assume that it would stick out the inch. I'd just do like others suggested. I put draglites on mine and I had to grind for quite a while to get them to fit.
