Default Tires

I am about to buy new tires, but it is my first time buying performance tires. I currently have exremo fuldas or somthing like that. I dont like those too much it seems like they spin too easy for stock. I want somthing with more grip, but I am kinda on a budget since I am just starting college. Thanks for the input.

When you say 'performance tire' are you looking into getting some drag radials?

You can pick up a pair of Nitto 555R for the back from Discounttire for a pretty good price. They area a sponsor here and that's were I picked mine up from and they were great to work with.

i was thinking of the fuzions my friend has those. drag radials would be nice. i will just be driving the car on weekends i come back from school. how long would drag radials last and how do they do in rain. i only need two tires so i could probly get those if they arent too high. what would two of the nittos run me and would that hurt the rear end at all i know they are finicky i have an a4.

nitto drags are ok but have a weak sidewall as do all drag radials i like the bfg drag radials but they are not good in the rain so be carefull .
if you are looking for tracion and go fast in straight lines a drag radial would be good.
if you like to go fast around turns and in straight lines i like a bfg kdw or kdw2 . provides traction in the dry and wet with a strong sidewall .

The Nittos are fine in the rain. Just don't try out your best John Force imitation with them and you will be okay. There was a thread here not too long ago about the life expectancy of DRs. It seemed like the average for a moderately driven car was a little over 10,000 miles, so not quite what you would get from the Fuzions.

I got my Nittos for (If I remember right) about $165 a peice. That was 245/50/R16 size tires for the stock 16" Z/28 wheels. The larger the tire you need the more the price will go up.
